| hello xanga friends, of whom I have ignored. just signing in to say that... I'm well, signing out. saying goodbye to Xanga and hello to Blogger… at least for the foreseen future. http://kris10ryan.blogspot.com/ | | |
| It is time. To finally say hello. Hello. Looking up to say. Yes, I’m alive. Where have I been? Happily investing my time here and here. Will I get to see you? "Every day we should see God in his creation: in the food we eat, the air we breathe, the friendships we enjoy, and the pleasures of family, work, and hobbies. Yes, we must sometimes forgo secondary pleasures, and we should never let them eclipse God... But we should thank God for all of life's joys, large and small, and allow them to draw us to him. That's exactly what we'll do in Heaven... so why not start now?" - Randy Alcorn And now it is time. To leave you, yet again. Goodbye. | | |
| Yesterday marked the sad ending to a happy gift that I have been enjoying over the past couple months – my Starbuck’s Christmas Gift Cards. This Christmas many of my friends fell to the trusty ol’ Starbucks Gift Card as their gift for me. Now let me tell you, this may be the “if all else fails” gift for some but for me, it’s wonderful! $100 later and I've been able to splurge and have not spent a single penny of my own money at Starbucks these past two months thanks to the generosity of several friends. But alas, reality hit yesterday when that sweet beverage topped the card off. We’re back people to the land of being responsible and budgeting the Starbucks intake :) On another coffee note – for those of you who are interested – my coffee restriction is going nicely (thanks to some well meaning friends who keep me accountable). I am now at the point of functioning “normally” on only two cups a day. Big improvements figuring it used to be a regular four cups. Haha – have you checked out Boundless? Their minds are on coffee as well. Not one but two posts in a week… on coffee! | | |
| I’ve been following you for quite a while Despite all the times I’ve faked a smile ‘Cause faith is never easy And you said you’d never leave me I’ve carried on…
It’s so funny how I fret from time to time Only to scratch my head and wonder why ‘Cause time after time, Season after season, You still have yet to give me one good reason
Not to trust You Lord Not to believe all you say is true Or to doubt You see the road more clearly than I do Please forgive me, when I don’t keep my faith in You
I was hoping by now I’d be less inclined to wander When you say ‘Over’ I gamble and go under Why do I take such chances? Like fools rush to romances, I’ve gambled on
When trial after trial, Season after season, You still have yet to give me one good reason…
Time after time, Season after season, Trial after trial, Treason after treason, You still have yet to give me one good reason…

| So yeah… I think I could argue that I have one of the best jobs working with some of the best people! It's been a while since I posted pics so I thought you might enjoy some from the Sovereign Grace Ministries' Awards Dinner last week. It was a wonderful evening of rejoicing in our Savior's kindness to us. We honored the staff that (through majority vote) seemed to exemplify our core values the most. This year's winners were... Humility - Evelyn Hutchinson Joy - Rhoda Dixon Creativity/Innovation - Drew Garfield Integrity - Trish Barnett Excellence - Sarah Lewis
... and they couldn't be more deserving!! my office buddy and me
